THERAPY
The artist's inner world is reflected every time in the visual images he creates. The canvas “Therapy”, created at the end of September 2021, is a kind of help for me. It is no secret that art, as an instrument of spiritual harmonization, has existed for a long time, but in the life of artists it occupies the first place. I'm a supporter of the idea that true art is born in dark moments. Either unfortunately or fortunately, each person has his own view and attitude, but it is in moments of despair and hopelessness, sadness and pain that something great and beautiful is always born. The best pictures, poems, scripts, music - all this is created more honestly when a person sincerely needs creation in order to cope with his inner demons.
This artwork speaks for itself. Therapy is what the artist needs, who misses every moment of his life with a vengeance. After all, real art is sincere, and an honest artist cannot afford to lie, he writes what he sees and what he thinks about. This canvas is about the spiritual state at the time of the creation of art. The fact that creation helps to pass certain events in life, whether it is the most vivid impressions or vice versa - the most bitter.
"I am a man of art to the marrow of my bones and cannot see my life without it. For me, art is something that helps to get through difficult moments in life, capturing them on the canvas. It is amazing to realize that a painting is a set of thoughts and emotions experienced by the artist at the moment of creation, which are imprinted in the moment. This is what I call therapy. This is a dialogue with oneself at the moment of creating a picture. A dialogue in which truth is born and internal problems are solved, and the picture is the result of these decisions."
"Morning, silence, autumn colors, me and the canvas - I remember the moment of creation very accurately. At that moment, I thought that I love autumn the most. These are precisely those moments of absolute harmony and happiness that actually happen very rarely. But this makes them the most valuable and memorable.”
About the technique: this work is written in the post-graffiti technique with abstract and figurative elements. Throughout my creative career, I am constantly in search of new visual images, improving and changing the style of writing. All my life I have been depicting words, letters, phrases, mixing them with images, abstraction, photography and other visual tools, where the result is a completely unique creative product.
In the center of the artwork, the word “Therapy” is depicted several times in various styles - which is the main part of the work. The image of the clock, which can be seen on the sides of the artwork, is a hallmark of many of my paintings. This is a symbol that refers to the English phrase “After Hours”. It means that after work, alone with ourselves, we are real. Fragments of the image of an umbrella just below the center of the picture, as well as the color scheme, refers to the time the picture was painted - autumn.
